During the Weakley County Public Safety Committee meeting on Tuesday, Commissioner James Washburn informed the board about a new air evacuation landing pad being planned in Dresden.
Commissioner Washburn says Dresden Public Works Director Josh Lassiter has not asked for any funding from the county.
Currently air evac helicopters land behind E.W. James or in an open field, which requires the fire department to set a landing zone.
