The Lexington City School System has terminated an employee after she was caught stealing medication at the school.
On Tuesday, the school system released statement saying concerns were brought to their attention that an employee was stealing medication from locked cabinets in the nurse’s office at Caywood Elementary.
Lexington City Schools confirmed the misconduct and promptly terminated the employee along with informing the appropriate authorities.
The school says they are reviewing and strengthening their security protocols along with conducting a full audit of all student medication.
