An arrest was made in Texas following the theft of a U-Haul truck in Union City.
Union City police were dispatched to Keller Street on Monday, after 43 year old Eric Lee Cannon, of Dyersburg, drove away in the rented vehicle.
53 year old Mary Mays told police she rented the U-Haul in Martin, with plans for herself and Cannon to help someone move.
When discovering the vehicle was gone, Ms. Mays said she contacted Cannon, who said he was returning it to Martin.
After receiving calls from the rental company stating the U-Haul had not been returned, multiple attempts to contact Cannon were unsuccessful.
A warrant was issued against Cannon for theft of a motor vehicle, with the U-Haul also entered into the National Crime Identification Center.
Police reports said a Flock Camera located the stolen vehicle in Sherman, Texas, with Cannon and his wife taken into custody.
