Jackson police investigators have made an arrest in connection with a homicide that occurred last Thursday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Conger Street, where a witness reported a male lying on the ground near a vacant residence.
At the scene officers located 25 year old Quenteraqus McKinnie, who was pronounced deceased after receiving multiple gunshot wounds.
During their investigation, a 17 year old male was developed as a suspect in the shooting.
Jackson police reports said the juvenile was taken into custody on Monday and will be charged with first degree murder in Madison County Juvenile Court.
