Congressman David Kustoff along with Congressman Chris Pappas of New Hampshire has introduced the Rural Health Innovation Act in the House of Representatives.
The bill will establish a competitive grant program allowing health centers and rural health clinics to increase staffing resources, hours of operation, and acquire additional technology and equipment.
A grant program for would also be established for improvements to rural emergency services.
Congressman Kustoff says communities in rural Tennessee are in need of more healthcare options to serve families.
