Anaya Brown notched her fourth double-double of the season and joined the rebounding top ten list as she led the UT Martin women’s basketball team to a 73-52 victory over Tennessee State on Tuesday.
The Skyhawks outscored the Tigers 20-5 in the second quarter cruising to a 21-point win. UTM outshot, outrebounded, and committed less turnovers than Tennessee State.
Head Coach Kevin McMillan gave credit to the defensive efforts of his team.
The Skyhawks travel to face Tennessee Tech tonight for their final road game of the regular season. Despite their win Coach McMillan says his team isn’t ready for the tournament.
Tipoff will be at 5:30.
