The UT Martin basketball team lost their winning streak when they fell to Tennessee State 86-75 on Tuesday.
UTM shot 51 percent from the floor and forced 17 turnovers, but the Tigers used a 22-3 run late in the second half to create separation.
Head Coach Jeremy Shulman gave credit to the Tennessee State team.
Tarence Guinyard topped UT Martin with 20 points on an efficient 6-of-8 shooting while also leading the Skyhawks with three steals, while Josué Grullon registered 12 points.
The Skyhawks will travel to Tennessee Tech on Thursday. Coach Shulman told us how he’s preparing his team to face the Golden Eagles.
