Snow and Cold in the Ken-Tenn Area; Warmer Temperatures Next Week

While the Ken-Tenn area avoided heavy amounts of snow from Tuesday night’s winter storm, driving conditions became very hazardous.

Law enforcement officials around the area reported multiple accidents, but no injuries were reported.

Officials are again urging motorists to use extreme caution if they should be on the roadway today.

Area residents are also reminded of the dangerous cold temperatures that are in the forecast through Thursday night.

Wind chills today will be in the low single digits, with actual overnight temperatures tonight and Thursday night will be in the single digits.Current forecasts show wind chill values tonight and Thursday night will range from seven-to-ten below zero.

A break will come to the local area during the weekend, as temperatures will rise above freezing with temperatures reaching the 60’s next week.
