Obion County Sheriff Karl Jackson is asking all motorist to stay off Highway 431 Martin to Union City from Shofner Road to the Obion River and also stay off Highway 45 between Polk Station and Three Rivers in Obion County.
If you’re traveling on any of these roads please slow down. Sheriff Jackson said with the roads getting wet and slick there is the possibility that motorists could slide into frozen water. He went on to say “if you slide into water you may not be able to escape.”
He also went on to say that many of the roads from Midway to Mt. Pelia in Weakley County could be dangerous also. With the snow over roads you won’t be able to see if there is water under the snow.
