
A delegation of state and federal officials were in Rives on Tuesday to discuss the flooding of the community.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and Tennessee Emergency Management Director Patrick Sheehan, were joined by Tennessee 8th District U.S. Congressman David Kustoff to discuss the flooding issues with local officials.
In a press conference held outside the Rives Fire Station, Governor Lee talked about the opportunity to view the water damage.(AUDIO)

The Governor said he has already had multiple conversations with the federal Homeland Security in Washington, concerning the Rives flooding and other storm damage across the state.
Congressman Kustoff said he was glad the evaluation of issues leading to the severe flooding were now being discussed on the local, state and federal level.
During the stop in Rives, the delegation had a meeting with County Mayor Steve Carr, Rives Mayor Lester Burns and Rives Fire Chief Campbell Rice, which focused on the levee system and the need for additional pumps.
