The City of Martin along with Town & Gown, UT Martin, and the UTM Black Student Association is inviting the community to the “Voices from the Past: Martin Black History Awards Luncheon.
The event will be held on Friday at noon in the Martin Event Center inside the Martin Public Library.
The event will reflect on Black history and honor those who have paved the way for the future. Featured speakers include Martin Mayor Randy Brundige, UTM Chancellor Yancy Freeman, and Marchell Gardner.
Lunch will begin at 11:45 and pre-registration is required. Tickets are $12 and will include food.
