A wanted Paducah woman was arrested following the assistance of the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office announced 27 year old Darian Scheffer was taken into custody in Henry County.
Ms. Scheffer was wanted on three counts of second degree criminal abuse of a child 12 years of age or under.
Last December, McCracken County officials were notified by the Benton County Tennessee Sheriff’s Office of an alleged sexual assault.
The victims’ father reported his two daughters made statement of the sexual assaults while visiting a residence in McCracken County.
Following an investigation, Gregory Scheffer was arrested on multiple charges which included rape, incest and criminal abuse.
The continuing investigation then revealed Mrs. Scheffer left her children alone with Gregory Scheffer for extended periods of time, even after being told of the abuse.
