UT Martin is offering three classes during the first week of March to help high school students improve their scores on the ACT. Registration is required for each course.

The ACT Accelerator Course, held at 9 a.m. March 1 and 22, is available in-person on the UT Martin campus or via Zoom. The cost is $35 for one two-hour session or $70 to participate in a four-hour session.

This workshop is designed to give students an overview of the most pivotal tips for the test to increase their scores in all four areas: English, mathematics, reading and scientific reasoning.

This class is designed to meet the needs of high school students who take the test. Students may choose to attend a four-hour online session that will cover math, science, English and reading or take a two-hour online session that covers either the subjects of math and science or the subjects of English and reading.

The ACT Math Mastery Class, held from 5 to 7 p.m. March 3 via Zoom, provides more practice for those who have already taken the math and science session or provides help to improve students’ math skills. The cost of this class is $25.

Over the two-hour course, students will cover additional techniques to use on the exam, see more practice questions and go over a full math practice test. All content covered is new to this course and is not featured in the math and science session or free workshop.

The ACT Reading Mastery Class, held from 5 to 7 p.m. March 5 via Zoom, provides more practice to those who have taken the English and reading session or provides help to prepare for that aspect of the ACT.

Over the two-hour course, students will cover additional techniques to use on the exam, see more practice questions and go over a full reading practice test. All content covered is new to this course and is not featured in the English and reading session or free workshop. Registration for these and additional ACT prep classes can be found at www.utm.edu/actprep.
