Tennessee lawmakers have submitted a bill that would allow for legal use of marijuana in the state.
Senate bill 0809 would allow for personal or recreational use of marijuana, while creating rules for the selling, production, and distribution of cannabis products.
Under the proposed bill an adult would be able to use, possess, and transport no more than 60 grams of marijuana. It would also allow personal cultivation of no more than 12 marijuana plants.
The District of Columbia along with 24 other states have legalized marijuana for recreational use.
