A Gibson County man is being forced to forfeit his property after pleading guilty to attempted possession of a schedule one drug with intent to sell.

In July of 2023, officers with the West Tennessee Drug Task Force searched Humboldt Fitness LLC, owned by Joseph Brian Moss, due to the delivery of a schedule one drug.

Officers found 29 firearms, $153,000 in suspected drug proceeds, drug paraphernalia, and evidence of illegal narcotics distribution.

On Wednesday Moss was convicted and will spend six years under the supervision of the Department of Correction. He must also forfeit the commercial building on 2500 North Central Avenue in Humboldt, the $153,000, and all weapons to the WTDTF.

Moss must also comply with mandatory drug testing, attend therapy, and pay $5,000 in fines and court costs.
