Agents with the 30th Judicial District of Shelby County recovered 85 pounds of marijuana on Wednesday during a traffic stop in Haywood County.
Agents conducted a traffic stop on I-40 for failure to maintain lane of travel. After developing a suspicion that more criminal activity was occurring a K9 was deployed around the pick-up truck and horse trailer.
The K9 alerted agents to the presence of narcotics and a search revealed 85 pounds of vacuum sealed marijuana.
One male was arrested and charged for trafficking.
