The Federal Communications Commission has announced the end of their diversity, equity and inclusion programs.

The FCC follows Ford, Walmart, McDonald’s, Meta and others in ending the programs, following the executive order signed Monday by President Donald Trump.

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said the diversity, equity and inclusion programs promoted discriminatory policies and ran counter to the purpose of the Commission.

Chairman Carr said the first section of the Communications Act stated the FCC was created to regulate communications industries without discrimination on race, color, religion, national origin or sex.

The Chairman said the DEI programs deprived Americans of their rights to fair and equal treatment under law, and were a wasteful expenditure of taxpayer resources.
