The Obion County Commission has given approval to fund a feasibility study for the Obion County School System.
The request to fund the study was added to the agenda during the County Commission meeting on Tuesday, and was addressed by Budget Committee Chairman Sam Sinclair Jr.(AUDIO)
Commissioner Danny Jowers requested the feasibility study to also include the county’s tax rate and tax base, along with a possible ten year outlook.
With no objections from the 19 board members in attendance, the request will now move forward to receiving bids from prospective study firms.
