A Greenfield man was killed in an accident early Wednesday morning in Fulton County.
Kentucky State Police at Post 1 said 44 year old Jordan B. Owens died after being struck by a vehicle.
Just before 6:20, State Police were called to the 4000 block of East State Line Road to investigate the accident.
Reports indicated Owens was operating a Mack garbage truck that broke down and stalled over the center line of the roadway.
Owens was out of the truck when he was struck by a 2014 Chevrolet Impala operated by 25 year old Jose Gomez Carrillo, of Mayfield.
Owens was transported to an out of state hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
State Police are continuing their investigation into the accident.
