Weakley County Schools has announced the 2025-26 Teachers of the Year.
The Teachers of the Year are selected by teachers across the school district, who vote for the top educators in three grade groups, Pre-K through 4th grade, 5th through 8th grade, and 9th through 12th grade.
Teachers of the Year are effective and creative in the classroom and deeply devoted to education.
The 2025-26 Teachers of the Year were:
Pre-K through 4th Grade

• Selena Bragg, Martin Primary
• Ciera Wood, Martin Elementary
• April Corbin, Gleason
• Alex Dunlap, Greenfield
• Caitlin Tucker, Sharon
5th Grade through 8th Grade
• Carol Owen, Dresden Middle
• Amanda Davidson, Gleason
• Tori Liggett, Greenfield
• Michelle Linam, Sharon
• Pam Sliger, Martin Elementary
• Jody Hatler, Martin Middle
9th Grade through 12th Grade
• Jenny Dodson, Dresden High
• Jaquelynn Dortch, Greenfield
• Melody Hopper, Gleason
• Samantha Vaughn, Westview
A district committee also reviewed the entries from each grade group and selected one teacher from each advance to the regional level.
The district level winners are Caitlin Tucker from Sharon School, Jody Hatler from Martin Middle, and Samantha Vaughn from Westview.
The top nine teachers across the state will serve a one-year term as advisors to the Tennessee Department of Education.
