Weakley County Baptist Association Helps Disaster Recovery in East Tennessee

A group of 31 short term mission volunteers with the Weakley County Baptist Association traveled to East Tennessee recently to take part in disaster recovery effort following the devastating damages caused by Hurricane Helene on September 27th.

Volunteers worked on projects located at Embreeville, Hampton, Elizabethton, and Mountain City which were towns devastated by the Hurricane.

Completed work included four houses that were sheet rocked and mudded, three staircases installed outside homes, two handicap ramps, and four chain saw jobs.

Team leader Tommy Wilson from Dresden First Baptist Church and Mission Team Leader for the Weakley County Baptist Association Disaster Relief and his wife have worked in the area for almost two months.
