The long standing football game between Westview and Dresden will not be happening this year as the two schools have decided to part ways and will discontinue their matchup.
Weakley County Director of Schools Jeff Cupples gave Thunderbolt Radio more details on the situation.
Director Cupples said he is hopeful the schools can work out a new agreement even if it means Dresden would host a game.
Dresden will begin their season on August 22nd against Trinity Christian in Jackson. Westview’s first game is still pending.
