The Union City School System is celebrating a report from the Tennessee Department of Education.
During Monday’s school board meeting, Director of Schools Wes Kennedy reported the achievements for the 2023-24 year.
Union City High School and Middle School each received an “A” on the state accountability report card, while Union City Elementary School was designated as a “Reward School”.
Director Kennedy told Thunderbolt News that many people share in the success of the school system.(AUDIO)
The state-issued school letter grades provide a snapshot of how each school is meeting the state’s expectations for learning and academic growth, as well as college and career readiness for high schools.
