To get an outside prospective of finances and operations in the school system, the Obion County School Board has accepted a proposal for a school feasibility study.
The unanimous vote for the study came Monday night, after the proposal was made during orientation with the county Budget Committee on Monday morning.
Director of Schools Tim Watkins said the study now awaits a vote by the full Commission to fund the estimated $25,000 cost, along with funding for the new school year.(AUDIO)

Obion County Commissioner Danny Jowers initiated the proposal of the feasibility study, and said there was four firms specializing in reviews of school systems.
County Commissioners are expected to discuss the funding of the feasibility study, and funding for the new school year, at their January 20th meeting.
