Henry County Football Coach James Counce III has announced that he will be taking the head coach position at Rockvale High School in Rutherford County.
Coach Counce went 95-36 over ten seasons at Henry County, while making the playoffs every year, and reaching the Class 5A state title game in 2018.
Henry County was 7-5 this past season and made it to the second round of the playoffs, while Rockvale went 2-8.
Coach Counce will be replacing Brian Guthrie, who retired after coaching the Rockets for three seasons. Rick Rice started the football program in 2019.
