An arrest was made following a fatal shooting at a Jackson bar.
Jackson Police Department reports said 55 year old Dantae Conner was taken into custody following a traffic stop in Crockett County.
Early Saturday morning, officers were dispatched to a shooting inside the Red Dog Saloon Bar and Grill on South Highland Avenue.
Officers located 32 year old Phillip Dewayne Thomas at the entrance with a gunshot wound.
Reports said despite life saving efforts, Thomas died at the scene due to his injuries.
Witnesses provided a description of the individual who committed the shooting, which led to the arrest of Conner.
He will be arraigned today in Jackson City Court on charges of voluntary manslaughter.
