The City of Memphis recorded a drop in homicides for the past year.
WREG reported Memphis with 296 homicides for 2024, which was down from 397 that occurred in 2023.
Included in the city homicide report was 16 suspects who committed the crime as a juvenile, with two murders committed by individuals 12-years-or-younger.
The yearly report from Memphis also showed a 14-percent decrease in overall crime, with violent crime down ten-percent.
