Union City Council members have approved the purchase of thermal imaging cameras for the Fire Department.
The Council approved three new cameras, along with replacement batteries and truck chargers with a price tag of almost $14,400.

Plans call for the new cameras to be ordered after the first of the year, with hopes to have them received and in use in February.
