Forty years of Christmas in the books for Santa’s Village at the Ned McWherter Ag Pavilion in Martin.
Parks and Recreation Director Brian Moore told Thunderbolt Radio News that the Saturday crowd was down somewhat over all but Sunday’s crowd was among one of the largest single day.
Meanwhile 22,328 visitors came to “Santa’s Village” to see the lights, petting zoo, Stanley Black and Decker model trains, the Enchanted Forrest and of course Santa.
Mrs. Claus said she’s believes Santa had his picture taken more than 8,000 times during the four day holiday event!
Meanwhile Moore said approximately 14,000 cans of food were donated this year and he thanked all who help donate food to feed the hungry.
This week work take down all the decorations and tuck them away to make way for next year’s 41st anniversary.
