The itinerary has been set for the first ever boys high school basketball reunion this Friday night at Marty Sisco Gymnasium.
Former Union City and Tennessee Volunteers basketball standout Mark Griffin has spearheaded the event, which will recognize over 1,600 wins and five state championships, along with a special presentation in honor of the late Bobby Whitby for his love and dedication to Union City sports.
A complimentary pre-game dinner in the school’s commons area will begin at 5:00 for Boys Basketball Alumni player and a guest. Past Twister coaches Marty Sisco and Harry Ferguson, along with former players Rodney Alexander and Griffin are scheduled to share stories of their time at Union City High School, and the contributions of Bobby Whitby.
Girls’ game starts at 6:00 against Trenton Peabody.
