The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission have voted to approve rule changes to adjust license prices and simplify license structure.
The decision was made during the final 2024 meeting held at the Ducks Unlimited National Headquarters in Memphis.
Since the last license fee increase came in 2015, the Consumer Price Index has seen 31.6-percent inflation, which has put the agency in a significant operational deficit.
The new approved increase has boating registration fees up 22-percent and most of the hunting and fishing license prices increasing 28-percent.
Sportsman and Lifetime license fees will also increase by 12-percent.
The new price structure will take place on July 1st of 2025.
