Those who plan to participate, or watch the Union City Christmas parade tonight, will need multiple layers for warmth.
The National Weather Service said daytime temperatures today may not reach the freezing mark, with north winds up to 15 miles per hour.
Wind chills will be in the teens throughout the day.
Tonight the coldest temperature of the season is in the forecast, with overnight lows dropping in the mid-to-upper teens.
Those participating in the parade can start lining up at 5:00 in the parking lot of Reelfoot Shopping Center.
The parade will begin at 6:30, traveling north on First Street into the downtown area.
Parade participants are also being reminded that no candy will be allowed to be thrown from vehicles or floats.
