Fulton Woman Arrested in Hickman on Shoplifting, Drug and Other Charges

Hickman police have made an arrest in connection with shoplifting and illegal drugs.

On Sunday, the Police Department received information concerning the theft of merchandise from Dollar General Market Store on Seventh Street.

Police reports said an officer attempted to stop the suspect on the store parking lot, but was forced to follow the vehicle to initiate a traffic stop.

An investigation discovered Stacey Wiley, of Fulton, was in possession of almost $115 in stolen merchandise.

A search of the vehicle also resulted in the finding of a quantity of methamphetamine, illegal prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.

Ms. Wiley was taken into custody on multiple charges that included theft by unlawful taking, possession of methamphetamine, operating a vehicle on a suspended or revoked license and second offense failure to maintain insurance.

Hickman police were assisted by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
