The Obion County Sheriff’s Office has been notified of attempted scam calls in the community.
Sheriff’s reports said the department has been made aware of an individual making the calls, stating they are a representative of the Sheriff’s Office.
Attempted victims indicate the individual has been making threats to make an arrest if they do not pay a fine.
Sheriff Karl Jackson is urging the public to not send any money should they be contacted by the scammer.
Those who receive the calls are urged to contact the Obion County Sheriff’s Office to report the attempted scam.
