UT Martin linebacker Jaylon Sharpe has been named a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award by Stats Perform.
The award is presented to the national defensive player of the year in Division 1 FCS college football. All 13 conferences are represented by a finalist.
Sharpe led the Big South-OVC in tackles for loss with 14.5, he recorded two sacks, two interceptions, three pass breakups, and 75 total tackles.
The Buck Buchanan Award winner will be selected by a national panel and announced at the Stats Perform FCS award banquet on January 4th in Frisco, Texas.
