Five people were shot Tuesday afternoon in Jackson, with a two-year old dying from injuries received.
Jackson police reports said officers responded to Wallace Road just before 4:00, where they found the shooting victims in an SUV.
All five were taken to a nearby hospital, with some airlifted to Memphis.
Police were able to identify a vehicle involved with the crime and a person of interest in the shooting was taken into custody.
The shooting remains an ongoing investigation.
