Small retail stores across the nation are hoping to receive big support this weekend with the annual Small Business Saturday.
The event was organized to encourage Christmas shopping with the “Mom and Pop” stores in the community.
In Union City, Main Street Executive Director Katie Graves said she was very appreciative of a national event that encourages small retail shopping.(AUDIO)

As a Small Business Saturday incentive, shoppers in downtown Union City will receive a free beverage from Vantage Coffee Roasters when they show a purchase receipt.
