Two Lexington Men Arrested for Drug Trafficking

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two men for trafficking fentanyl.

On Thursday, detectives conducted a drug investigation and learned that two men were traveling from Lexington to a hotel in McCracken County with the intent to sell fentanyl pills.

Officers arrested 26-year-old Renato Benites of Lexington and found 247 suspected fentanyl pills on him. Authorities also arrested 26-year-old Kelvin Sawieh, of Lexington, for conspiring with Benites.

During a search of the vehicle detectives also located marijuana, scales, and other drug paraphernalia.
