A Memphis florist, who refused to serve customers who voted for President-elect Donald Trump, is closing her doors for the week following death threats.

WREG said the death threats were made over an Instagram post by the florist.

Everbloom Design is a special event floral studio on Broad Avenue.

On the shop’s page, owner Kristin Wolter posted a short clip stating she would not do business with people who support the president-elect.

Wolter said it was because she needed to create a safe place for herself, her staff, and family.

Reports said the post has since been deleted and all social media accounts have gone private.

The Human Rights Protection Act of Tennessee protects against discrimination involving age, race, and gender, but political beliefs are not protected.

This allows businesses to refuse services because of political stances.
