Union City police were called to investigate the theft of a weedeater.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Grayson Circle, where they spoke to 30 year old Drake Richards, of Union City.
At the scene, Richards said he was mowing and cleaning a yard on Vine Street, when he went to his truck.
Once at the truck, he realized someone had taken the weedeater from the bed of the vehicle.
He told police he had no idea who would have committed the theft.
The police report said the Husqvarna weedeater was valued at $450.
