At last night’s Weakley County Commission meeting in Dresden UT Martin professor of Agricultural Economics, Dr. Joey Mehlhorn, was nominated and sworn in as the interim District 6 County Commissioner.
Dr. Mehlhorn will fill the vacancy left by Dr. Brian Donavant who resigned earlier this year.
Three candidates were presented to the commission including Dr. Mehlhorn and Johnny Brundige and John Bucy all three Martin residents. The majority voted for Dr. Mehlhorn with a majority of 10 votes.
