A UT Martin student has been awarded a $10,000 Bridging the Dream Scholarship.
First-year cybersecurity major, Bryson Long from Eads, Tennessee, is the first UTM student to be awarded the scholarship.
The funding was provided by the Sallie Mae Fund, in partnership with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and was awarded to 40 students nationwide.
The scholarship was awarded based on high school excellence in and out of the classroom.
