An Obion County resident has been honored for her work in the Dyersburg City School System.
Sara Stephenson was named as one of four “Teachers of the Year” by the school system.
Mrs. Stephenson was chosen for her work at Dyersburg Intermediate School.
In receiving the honor, school officials said Mrs. Stephenson consistently goes above and beyond in inspire both students and colleagues.
Mrs. Stephenson’s classroom was also called a place of encouragement and growth, where every student feels valued and motivated to achieve their best.
The Dyersburg School System also named Ashley Winn as the “Teacher of the Year” for Primary School, Carole McCullough for Middle School and Lynsey Butler for the High School.
