Josué Grullon led UT Martin had a game-high 24 points for the Skyhawks.
The Skyhawks trailed by 44-41 at the half but the host Lions shot 16-for-30 in the final 20 minutes to win the game.
A six-game swing of road or neutral-site contests continues Saturday when the Skyhawks travel to Farmville, Va. to take on Longwood.
