The Dorena-Hickman Ferry is back in service today The ferry closed early on Friday, Nov. 8 due to mechanical issues. The Dorena-Hickman Ferry is now running and is operating on its winter schedule.
The last run from the Kentucky landing is at 4:15 p.m. and the last run from the Missouri landing is at 4:30.
The ferry serves as a tourist attraction for the region and provides a convenient route between Southeast Missouri and the popular fishing and recreation areas around nearby Reelfoot Lake.
The toll for passenger vehicles is $20 with additional tolls for trucks, motor homes, and vehicles pulling trailers. There are discounts for vehicles making return crossings.
