Obion County Central High School has earned the prestigious “FAFSA Champion Designation” for the 2023-2024 academic year.
FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
School Communications Director Lauren Kendall said the honor recognizes schools that achieve a significant increase of five-percent or more in their Tennessee Promise FAFSA completion rate or surpass a 90-percent completion rate.
The honor was awarded by the Tennessee FAFSA Challenge and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission/Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation.
School officials say the achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of the staff, especially Obion County Central School Counselor Heather Kendall.
A FAFSA Champion banner was awarded to the school for display.
