A Western Kentucky Sheriff’s Office has announced plans to conduct checkpoints.
The Hickman County Sheriff’s Office will be holding the checkpoints to check for motorists who may be driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of valid registration and license, and the possession of insurance.
Several locations have been approved for the checkpoints, which includes U.S. Highway 51 at the Carlisle County and Fulton County Line and KY 58 at the Graves County Line.
The Sheriff’s Office said the checkpoints were being conducted to keep roadways safe.
