The Martin Fire Department announced their first ever all-female engine company on Thursday.
Fire Chief Jamie Summers tells us how the engine company came to be.
The Department said they have had women firefighters for years, but that this was the first full company.
The Fire Department also started training with new foam nozzles this week.
Chief Summers explained that the department had previously used a class A foam for structure and interior fires and a class B foam for gas and diesel spills.
The new foam the fire department will be using is a class AB foam.
