The home team fired 14 shots in the first half, but it wasn’t until Chanler Spendlove broke the scoreless tie in the 22nd minute when a well-placed free kick found the top right corner to take the lead 1-0.
Two minutes later, Spendlove executed a precision pass into the box that Maddie Horton launched into the back of the net to extend the lead.
Alaina Usleton, who finished 2nd in her cross country meet earlier in the day, found Gryphon Rowland on an excellent cross with five minutes left in the half to take a 3-0 lead into the break.
Freshman Sophie Bowland scored the only goal of the second half, and Kella Simmons had a couple of saves in goal to secure the victory, 4-0.
The Lady Chargers improved to 14-5-1 and will host the Region championship match Thursday night against Cheatham County, with first touch scheduled for 6:00 pm at the Martin Soccer Complex.
