The Lady Tornadoes volleyball team set a new record for most wins in a season with a 3-0 sweep of Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering on Monday in the Region 7A Tournament semifinals.
Now 17-5, Union City will face Gibson County tonight at Gibson County for the regional championship.
Union City will advance to Thursday’s sectional round regardless of the outcome of its fourth meeting with Gibson County tonight.
